When in Intramuros

So hindi ko pa pala naipopost ang first ever VLOG ko! Haha! Well here it is. Me and three of my friends from college went to Intramuros few months before. And ang saya lang kasi nagpictorial lang kami dun. Hindi ako nakuntento kaya nagvideo ako.

A lazy Rainy Saturday afternoon indeed! A good timing to stay at home and blog all along. But, instead of editing my previous blog (which is the #Aldub), I've decided to write a new entry. A post not included on my list, and a post going to nowhere (i think). Haha. I just want to appreciate the rain outside and to write everything that would cross my mind ATM.

Hmm. So what to share?

Oh. I don't remember me telling you something about "wanting freedom" from the previous post. Well, I am grateful, 'coz I achieved it in an unanticipated way; in a time where anything that felt bad must happen to you first. It was a hell of a week for me. But in a short notice, it happened. It was approved. I packed myself up and say goodbye to a place, a thing, or a part of my life that I should left a long time ago. I resigned!

dear self, you've been so hard on yourself these past few days/weeks/months. the struggle is real. you nearly lost faith, you cry like a child (again) to anyone, but hey, good things come just right on time. you are finally free from all the hatred, judgements and bearings. you can now let out that big sigh you've been holding for a very long time. it would be now a breathe of fresh air, sense of tranquility, of new begginnings. let us embrace new challenges. it would also be the best time to express your gratefulness from that roller coaster pace of life. it was fun, but roller coaster rides still ends. finally, the freedom is yours! no regrets, really. there are things you have to let go. that's life for us. its time to take your bow. and the emoji really fits!

I was not able to express proper goodbyes to some, but I still get to see them on a regular basis, The mere fact that I am free from all the issues, hatred, stress, etc., well that's enough freedom to me. Yeah, It was a five-year experience and an edge to a more fulfilling job position, but, it was no regret that you have to free yourself from an unhealthy working environment. Sometimes, you really have to give up some things to give space for your own improvement. I know, I am embracing all the stress in life, but for a long time, I was told that it was not always worth it to stress yourself. Maybe it's my way today to "love myself more". Haha! Nah, it's also contentment.

Then, it's more than that to the start of the second half of this year. On the second day of this new semester at work, a meeting at work was held. It was all about admin concerns, shifting schedules, and... *drum rolls* BHS assignments. When assignments were announced, it seems that most of my colleagues were reshuffled from their previous BHS assignments, and, to my shock, I am one of them!

Preceptor: Mahabang Parang... (then mentions only three of my colleagues)

Me: 

Literally, I felt like flying. Not because I really wished to be transferred to another BHS, but I didn't see it coming. I didn't know it was serious at all. I felt bad, a bit, because I know I have to leave not just only my workmates, but my friends. They were my companion to all the stress I had. They were my only ally. But a saying really goes " Be careful what you've wished for, coz you just might get it."

Now, I'm on adjustment phase. It was a big turnover to me to work on a lighter environment. I was assigned to a baranggay with smaller population, and smaller target. Before, we were 4, now, I am about to handle it alone. It was still a challenge to me. Getting along with my new companions were okay. They have a goal: to get me fat. Aww. Haha! I hope I get used to this. Hindi din ako sanay ng wala masyadong trabaho unlike before.

So that's work life for me as of these days. I am still cheering up myself and saving more on "lakas ng loob" in able to survive.

#Aldub

Finally, I was able to write a decent post about what makes me (and I know, not just only me) crazy that become my daily dose of happiness.

but before this post go further, let me brief you some things about them. Or use the powers of Google search for better understanding.

AlDub is a short term of endearment for Alden and Yaya Dub/Divina Ursula Bokbokova Smash, or in real life, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. They started as a split-screen love team from the GMA's noontime show Eat Bulaga, in a segment called Problem Solving in Juan for All, All for Juan (which further progress to Kalyeserye, or a Series shoot on streets). Split-screen, because on that very day that this AlDub fever had started, Alden was just asked to sit on the audience to watch the said segment, while Yaya Dub was doing her Dubsmash routines. The cameras were focused on them in a split-screen and when Maine saw Alden on a remote screen, the grumpy face first showed the smile that sends the all over kilig. And the history continues... they were forbiddened to see each other, that Alden has to do challenges for Lola Nidora, the Tamang Panahon that Lola always remind them, until it became a realization and lessons. Until they met for the first time and the wall... oh wait, I don't want to spoil the blog post, coz I was about to talk about My favorite AlDub/Kalyeserye Episodes, right? Oh, I did not tell that earlier either. But now you know. 😛

It was real tough to think of the top 10 or 20 favorites out of almost 200 episodes now, but lets see how would this goes. I think some of my instagram posts were screenshots/pictures taken from KS episodes, and I thought that they maybe one of the best among the 300+ episodes.

So let me do my best to enumerate and look back on the best episodes of KS. I hope we were on the same thinking. Or I might missed some, feel free to share it with me. 

(in no particular order)

1. The first episode, of course. That Mungkawkaw Dubsmash and the first glance to Alden that made YayaDub smile for the first time. The Pabebe wave they exchanged. 

2. The first weeksary, when she laid her hair down prettily, na akala nya nagpapaalam na si Alden, but he returned with flowers!

3. That Bulaga Pa More episode where YayaDub performed for the first time, in a Cinderella-themed production. Where Alden faced the first challenge from Lola Nidora. Yung nagwish ang lahat na kung ito na ba ang tamang panahon. Muntik na. Pero di ko makalimutan yung Vine video nya na nagtantrums sya sa kama after the episode. 😂

4. Yung episode of another challenge na tumakbo si Alden sa EDSA na may dala dalang kahoy. Highblood si Lola Nidora nun, as in literally. 

5. Yung another challenge ulit, na nagdive si Alden sa pool ng naka tux.

6. Yung isa pang challenge ni Lola Nidora na pinapunta nya si Alden sa Bicol para sa Pili at Laing.

7. Yung episode na nakarecieve si Yaya Dub ng isang box of Hawhaw and Mik-Mik. Turned out she lately knew that it really came from Alden. 

8. The Bulaga pa More wildcard edition where they saw each other in person for the first time, at may bumagsak na plywood nung maglalapit na sila. Tas kinidnap si YayaDub.

9. The week after the plywood episode, where Duhrizz brought them to the basement, blindfolded, in a separate van.  Indirect kisses were brought to you by the Starbox straw.

10. Oh, I skipped an episode. Nung nag appear si Frankie Arenoli. That weeksary na nagprenuptial shoot sila. One of nakakalokang episodes. 

11. One of the Saturday special episodes, where YayaDub and Frankie are about to be wed. Unfortunately, hinimatay ng tunay si Maine. Yun na sana yung Tamang Panahon. Adlib pa more KS casts.

12. The long table date, wherein naglaro muna sila ng compatibility game bago nakarating sa long table. Isaw and sopas on the menu, dubsmash pa more kaya nalaglag yung pugo sa bibig ni Yaya. Tye greatest hadlang: that alarm clock reminding of Lola Nidora's chiwibols.

13. Unang apak ni Alden sa Mansyon. Maraming firsts here. Yung una ay yung first picture nila together. At yung kumanta si Alden ng God gave me you ng umiiyak. Gosh. Yung one foot away, no touch, pero nabreak nung nabilaukan si YayaDub. Haha. 

14. The TAMANG PANAHON at Philippine Arena. You know it guys! 

15. Yung first weeksary/monthsary na magkasama sila. Naging Riding in tandem pa itong si Alden.

16. Oh! that week where Cindy appeared

17. And that weeksary na nagcatwalk si Divina sa broadway with Cindy.

18. Until that super sakit na episode where Divina was telling Alden to...uhm...ayoko na please ang sakit nun 💔

18. And that Saturday na ikakasal na si Alden pero di natuloy. That oh-so-tight hug they exchanged. At muntik nang magkiss.

19. And do i forgot to include the second wedding of Frankie and Yaya na hindi natuloy dahil peke yung pari.

20. And the week before that where Dr. Tan-ning appeared. Oh wow.

21. That ma-ala-twighlight saga-slash-horror-slash-suspense-romance story sa Bahay ni Lola

22. Yung monthsary na ininterview sila ng audience for the first time

23. Yung lumabas si Daddy Dod. Tas hinimatay si Divina. Haha. 

24. The Ansera episodes

25. That Christmas special episodes wherein natalo sila sa pangangaroling

26. And before that, yung nawala sa kanila yung mansyon

27. Alden's birthday

28. The Valentines episode sa Tagaytay

29. Maine's Birthday. First kiss nila lips to lips. Galawang breezy by Alden. 

30. Summer episode. Nagkagulo sa resort sa Binangonan. Hahahah.

31. The Jake episode

32. Lenten specials. Though not really a legit part of KS but the characters itself had their part on it.

34. Maine's first anniversary

And now, its been a year! Oh wow! Tine really flies in a swift! I know that Aldub and Kalyeserye had made differences in our life, in a very good way. As I told earlier, it was my daily dose of Happiness! 😊 A "pampatanggal ng stress", the thing that completes my day. I could never imagine if they didn't exist. Ano kaya ginagawa ko sa facebook, nabuhay pa ba ulit ang twitter kong dati ay punong puno ng bitter posts? Ibang interests ba yung shineshare ko sa close friends kong naging fan na din ng Aldub? Nagwish kaya ako ng ibang magazine collections nung 25th birthday ko? Sino kaya yung fashion peg ko? Naisip ko ba na secret dream ko maging artista para maraming cakes pag may okasyon? Mukha ko pa din ba ang nasa wallpaper ng phone ko? Nag-open ba ako ng smule account at snapchat? Naisip ko bang mag-improve yung blog ko? Maybe all of these I've done for the love of Alden and Maine. Sounds silly but it's true.

They may be just some artist on television, like others, but believe it or not, they changed something in everything. I don't know how this happens, but whatever it is, I know it's meant to be. They had already hold a spot in my heart, forever. 💛

The Sunday Currently | 06

Hello there! It took me long to get back on posting something 'coz I still can't figure out a stable internet connection, and it sucks! Well, thank you to my bestfriend for helping me step by step. I have sooo many pending blog stories to write, but when I have the time, I just can't find words. (and internet probs, as I have told)

And because of the internet probs, I have to write my Sunday Currently entry using my Blogger app on phone. And hey, I thought it would be nice to post my face with a snapchat filter for my blog post introductory picture. Lol the annoying pose btw.

Let's make it up on this Sunday coz Monday is just around the corner. It just freaks me out. No vacations as expected.

for July 17 to come faster! Haha! This is one of my month goals: to not miss Imagine You and Me in theaters!

the fact that I am truly free from something I wished to be free. Finally! Now, I won't even care for things that gave me stress and made me overthink a lot. There are things in life that you have to let go and not regret about it. If it hurts you a lot, you should not hold onto it. The sufferings long enough, so, yeah, freeedooooom!! (and no, it's not a breakup! But it seemed to be the same thing, right? hahaha!)

Wanting

to go shopping to Greenhills and get my phone a new hard case, or just get myself a nice grande cup of double chocolate green tea with matcha frappucino for the third time this week. 

Needing

to update my journal. a lot happened this week, and to check schedules that I shouldn't miss.

and, that Incident Report that I should be starting right now.

Feeling

ambivalent about Monday. I am anticipating to face monday with a little bit new "me", but the fact that I was not able to spend some vacation or even staycation somewhere for a few days gaves me that "inis" feeling. But oh well, it would be better to have a job and earn money, than staying whenever and doing nothing in life. Vacations could be just around the corner. File a vaaction leave if needed. Lol. That's what they've been tellling me.
